Classic Engineering provides structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering for new construction and renovation of “classic” buildings. Our services include building modeling and preparation of construction documents in Revit and AutoCad.
Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Classic Engineering has been involved in a number of projects changing the city skyline over the past two decades.
Throughout Michigan, the Midwest and around the country, Classic Engineering’s work on thousands of projects over 20 years can be found “in the bones” of all categories of buildings. Hotels, health care facilities, commercial and residential construction, multi-family, senior and independent-living projects, educational, government and church buildings are in our portfolio of work.
Our History
Founded Under the Leadership and Entrepreneurial Spirit of Doug Huyser, PE in 1998
After many years of dedicated service, our founder, Doug Huyser, has decided to retire. Doug has been instrumental in the success and growth of Classic Engineering, and we are grateful for his leadership and commitment throughout the years.
As we bid farewell to Doug, we are excited to announce a new chapter for Classic Engineering. We are pleased to introduce Jason Kuhnle, PE SE as the new owner of Classic Engineering. Jason brings a wealth of experience as a structural engineer in the industry and a commitment to upholding the high standards of service and excellence that you have come to expect from our company.
We want to assure you that this change in ownership will not impact the quality of service you receive from Classic Engineering. Jason is dedicated to maintaining the strong relationships we have built with our clients, and he is eager to continue providing the exceptional engineering solutions that have been a hallmark of our company.
